AZR 600

GROSS Genius 2 briquette press, free-standing

Single Shaft Shredder

Compact enough for a single workshop, built like the big ones: solid steel rotor, hydraulic feed and the same circular knife system that runs in our industrial machines.

The AZR series of single shaft shredders for turning bulky wood waste into uniform chips

SINGLE SHAFT SHREDDING

Pallets, offcuts, board, panel waste, long stock — the AZR takes what your workshop produces and reduces it to a chip size you define with the screen. Nine sizes from 600 to 2,000 mm hopper width cover everything from a single workshop to an industrial line.

In-depth features

AZR 600 in detail

Applicable for
all AZR machines

Concave-ground circular knives turn up to 8 times before they are replaced. Different knife types match the shredder to your material.

001 Solid steel rotor shaft

The rotor shaft is machined from solid steel. The cutting gap between rotor and counterknife is adjustable on request, so the cut stays clean as the tools wear.

002 Constant hydraulic feed

A hydraulic pusher with diagonal feed moves material to the rotor at a steady rate. Gravity drops the chips in faster, so throughput stays predictable instead of surging.

003 Cardanically suspended cylinders

The hydraulic cylinders hang in cardanic joints. Side load never reaches the piston cup — which is exactly what shortens its service life on lesser machines.

004 Two-way screen, 10 to 40 mm

The screen defines the chip size. Standard 15/20 mm; 10/12, 12/15, 20/25, 25/30 and 35/40 mm optional; special sizes on request.

005 Security package

Gear end limit switch and reverse counter come as standard. The machine protects itself before it protects your production schedule.

006 Circular knives, turnable 8 times

The scissor cut of the concave-ground heads works with very little force. Knife holders are welded or bolted to the rotor, and each knife turns up to 8 times before replacement.

007 Rotor Ø 252 mm

The AZR 600 runs the 252 mm rotor at 90 rpm — the diameter built for smaller applications. The larger the wrap angle of the rotor, the higher the throughput.

008 New: circular knife V8

The outer broaching knives are replaced by the circular knife V8. Material is crushed uniformly across the full length of the rotor.

009 Chip removal your way

Take the chips away by suction plant, conveyor screw or conveyor belt. Suction needs a minimum air speed of 28 m/s; the AZR 600 port is Ø 160 mm.

010 Options to fit your line

Movable screen cage, 4-sided segmented floor with serrated plate and rail, delivery by conveyor screw, special hopper with cooling, PLC for fully automated operation.
